Why buy from you?
We are a UK company based in London and we only sell what we have in stock. All the items are shipped from London and we don’t use any drop shipping companies based in far-east. There are too many websites pretending to be from UK and then you find you have to wait for months to receive your items or not receive at all. Also due to the new regulations since January 2021 any item you buy from outside UK(regardless of the value) is liable for tax and handling charges in some case.
Are my transactions at Something Kawaii secured?
Shopping at somethingkawaii.com is completely safe. Although we do not collect or store any of our customer credit card information on our server, we still take your security seriously & have invested in a 256-bit secure server software for our servers. Therefore even the personal details you enter on our site are encrypted between your PC & our server using 256-bit encryption. While entering your personal details, a padlock will appear in the bottom right of your browser or next to the address bar on the top of the browser (this depends on the browser version) indicating that the secure server software is now in place. All of your credit card details are entered on our payment processor Paypal which uses 256-bit secure server software (SSL sockets), which encrypts information, ensuring that your transactions stay private and protected.
Can I order over the phone?
Unfortunately for security reasons, all orders must be placed via our website at somethingkawaii.com We apologize that we cannot accept telephone orders over the phone, however, you can always call us or email us and we will try our best to answer any questions you may have. (Emails are generally answered within 4 hours or less.)
Where are you based?
We are based in London, UK. However, we do ship items to Europe, the USA and other parts of the world.
Can I pay by Euro or US dollar?
Sorry, even though you can see the prices in all three currencies (British Pound, Euro and US dollar) they are for reference purpose only. We will charge your card in British Pounds Sterling at the rate offered to you by your card company at the time of the transaction.
How is my shipping charge calculated?
Our shipping charges are much lower than other websites as we don’t charge flat rate shipping and only charge you the true cost of shipping based on your preferred shipping method. Shipping is based on your order’s total weight & packing expenses. To see the total cost of your order including shipping, please add the product(s) into your shopping cart and proceed to the checkout page. You can work out your shipping cost by using our shipping calculator.
How long does it take for my order to arrive?
Orders placed before 1 P. M are normally shipped on the same day, therefore the selected UK order depends on the shipping method that the customer has chosen and should arrive within 1-3 days. European orders will take 3-4 days & USA orders normally take 5-7 days. We use Royal mail for all our shipping so their terms & conditions apply.
Can I ship my order to places other than my billing address?
If you are a customer from the UK then we will ship your items to another address as long as your billing address matches your bank records. However, if you are not from the UK then we will only ship the items to the card holder’s billing address unless you contact us and give us a valid reason. If the cardholders billing address does not match the bank records, your order will be declined and voided. (The “billing address” is the address on record with your bank. It is where the bank sends your monthly statement).
Our site is very user-friendly in terms of navigation and also mobile friendly. Categories are listed on the navigation bar. We have provided a sitemap and also an ‘all products page’ at the bottom of the page. We also have ‘bread crumb navigation’ at the top of the page which tells you exactly where you are, so you can go forward or backward at any time by clicking it.
Finding a product
You can view our products in three ways: By using the category menu on the top navigation bar & viewing the products by category, using the new link on the navigation bar to view all the recent products or by using the search function & using keywords to find the exact product you are looking for. We have ensured that we give much information as possible on the product page.
Making a purchase
To add products to your ‘Shopping basket’ please click the ‘Add to basket’ button next to the product. You can modify or delete items from your cart at any time by clicking on the ‘Shopping cart’ icon on the navigation bar.
To finalise your order and to pay for the goods purchased, click on ‘ Proceed to checkout’. Out of stock items are clearly indicated and cannot be purchased. Information about the out of stock products will still be available. You can also purchase pre-order items. During the ordering process, you can return to a previous screen to make amendments at any point of the process. After making these selections you will have a final chance to review all the details of your order.
In order to purchase you don’t need to create an account with us unless you want to. If you have an account with us already, then the checkout process is much quicker. You will then proceed to the checkout area where you need to provide your payment details. Please ensure that all of the details are 100% correct and we will do the rest.
During the checkout process, you will be prompted to confirm delivery details and proceed to PayPal (or an alternative payment method) for your final payment. Once you have completed the PayPal process you will be prompted to come back to our website to complete your order. If you need to amend your order after it has been generated, please contact us by email.
Why do I need an account?
By creating an account with us, next time you buy from us you don’t have to enter your address details. You can also view the progress of your orders online, view your order history and print out invoices. Furthermore, you can subscribe to email notifications.
